The Rural Organizing Project held its 2026 Rural Caucus and Strategy Session in Florence April 24-26. For over 30 years, the ROP has brought representatives from all over Oregon to this annual event “to reflect on the previous year and to set the direction and priorities for our movement for human dignity for the upcoming year.”
ROP lists a dozen Oregon Indivisible groups among the over 100 human dignity organizations that form its network. To learn more about the Rural Organizing Project, see their website.
Justin Ludwig of Florence shared videos of attendees joining host groups Florence ORganizes and Florence Indivisible to demonstrate with song at “Peace Corner” along US-101, as well as some music led by Cascadia during the event. He reported that about 150 attended.
