Welcome to the first week of May, 2026! May Day protests took place in hundreds of cities across the U.S. ranging from small peaceful rallies to large-scale marches.

But was there much economic impact against major corporations through boycotts and walkouts that day? We don’t have the numbers, but the relative value of the May Day effort was discussed in last night’s COIN meeting right after the informative COINversation on the “gas tax” referendum.

  • Vote! In addition to safely mailing your ballot, urge everyone you know to do the same! Share these important dates:

    Drop Box – No later than Tue., May 19
    USPS – Using outbox or mailbox: no later than Fri., May 8
    USPS – Using Post Office window, clerk must postmark by hand stamp by Fri., May 15

    Mailed ballots will take 5-7 business days to get postmarked.
