More About the Event
From the event press release:
Rally participants will protest ICE’s illegal and immoral actions along SW Hwy 101. The concert aims to raise funds in support of community members who face multiple threats from ICE. Who should attend:
- Anyone who wants to support the Latino and Mesoamerican communities who live on the Oregon Coast.
- Anyone who thinks that law-abiding people who are in this country legally should not be threatened, arrested, or detained.
- Anyone who thinks that DHS policies and ICE practices have hurt families and communities.
What to bring:
- Signs, streamers, balloons, puppets, bubbles, bells, flags, kazoos, costumes. Come ready to practice nonviolent resistance.
