Another taking of innocent life. And the world moves on… Or does it?

On Monday, a young husband and father from Colombia living in Maine with a work permit, Johan Sebastián Guerrero, was shot and killed by ICE agents. As that news was breaking, Indivisible’s Leah Greenberg commented on the aftermath of last Tuesday’s killing of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo of Houston, likewise by ICE. “The three men who were witnesses to the shooting are being held at a private detention center; reports indicate that the administration has tried to rush their deportations.

“ICE is not cooperating with local law enforcement… ICE is counting on us to believe their lies and to let Lorenzo’s story fade into the background of a crowded news cycle — but we need to make it impossible for them to get away with it.”
