From The COIN Chronicle Team
Got opinions about what is happening in the world today? The COIN Chronicle team is looking to assemble an Editorial Roundtable to address big news that pops up each week.
While we all get the national and state news via the media, we want to add the perspectives of Indivisible group members who can share from their own experience, expertise, generational relevance, and especially, the unique local environments of our state.
It isn’t a hard, stressful or overly time consuming task that we have in mind. Think of each commentary like a Facebook comment that you can make as brief or as long as you want to at the time, without polished expectations. One member’s input will appear in a list with those of others, in the style of editorial roundtables used in some major publications. Here’s a similar format on Cleveland.com, while we may adapt an even looser and more approachable style. This is a work in progress.
The idea is that each week members of the Roundtable will be asked to share reactions, suggestions and/or insights on particular current topics, usually in an email on the weekend. Whether conveying thoughts from individuals or whole groups and communities, these can still be low-stress, social-media style comments.
This will require only an email exchange–no time-sucking Zoom meetings or lengthy soliloquies. (Hooray!) If you want to give this idea a try, just shoot us an email at News@TheCoinChronicle.org.
Why? Because your voice matters and no one of us is as smart as all of us. And Lord knows we need to be in this together!
