Self Care

Next time you’re in an airplane, pay attention to the flight attendants providing the safety demo. “In the event of an emergency, oxygen masks will drop from the ceiling,” they say. And then, “Put on your own mask before helping others.” The fact is, even if you’re traveling with children, you won’t be able to help them at all if you run low of oxygen yourself.

The same is true whether you’re working to support charities, strengthen education, or save democracy. Self care has never been more crucial than in these stressful times. So let’s take in ideas like these, share them with others, and nurture the inner peace and strength to carry on the good fight.
