We often turn to the same people, the same ways of thinking, the same well-worn perspectives when we’re trying to figure a problem we have in our life.
But sometimes what we actually need is a lens that feels unfamiliar even a little uncomfortable.
Reaching out to someone who sees the world differently than you do can open a door you didn’t know was there. It requires humility to admit you don’t have the full picture, and trust to let someone else help you see beyond your own patterns.
But that willingness can shift everything.
If you’re feeling stuck, consider who in your life thinks in a way you don’t. Start there, and notice how your burdens can become lighter.
