6pm Today - The City of Newport, Oregon, has learned that ICE is considering putting a facility at our airport. Newport City Council will hold an open public meeting tonight. For context, you can read this article from KGW as well as this one from the Oregon Capital Chronicle.

The best way for Indivisible groups around Oregon to show their support is to make sure the following messaging shows up everywhere in our communities. Because we have either had ICE raids in our communities or will be targeted next.

Messaging examples: NO ICE IN OUR STATE - NO ICE IN NEWPORT - ABOLISH ICE - NO ICE IN OUR COMMUNITY NO FEAR IN OUR STREETS!

10. Sign up for IMIrJ's Immigrant Accompaniment Program or donate to their Sanctuary Fund.
