Member groups of the Oregon Coast Indivisible Alliance (OCIA) found ways to use Sneaker the Salty Dog to promote Dogs for Democracy events during National Dog Month (August).
Indivisible Reedsport organized their Aug. 29 Dog Parade around a non-partisan, community-building benefit for the Reedsport K9 Shelter.
Said organizer Becky Kring: “We had four adoptable dogs from the shelter join us. Local businesses and individuals donated items — gift cards, handmade items and doggo stuff — for the raffle. We also printed up bandanas to sell.
“Everybody said they had a great time and couldn’t wait till next year.”
